
This project involved training and plant troubleshooting in a new Whey Processing Facility. This plant processed large volumes of Mozzarella Cheese Whey into high protein instant WPC and Permeate Powder or alternatively into Whey Powder.
The company had some issues with identifying the source of a number of production related problems. IPS spent time with the operators and identified what the real issues were in the plant. In this case it was a combination of poor operator training and some process equipment that was extremely difficult to run even for the better operators. We recommended the necessary changes to the process plant and implemented a focused training programme for the operators.
The end result was a plant that ran more efficiently, less downgraded product and a happier work force.
