This project involved undertaking a feasibility study to determine if converting an existing whey powder facility to WPC and Lactose was viable. IPS was engaged to review the existing plant and come up with a concept for achieving the clients end goal.

A comprehensive review of the plant was made and an engineering solution was designed and priced. A full layout along with an engineering specification was produced to be used as the basis for the contract bids.

The end result was a design that utilised all the existing equipment in a cost effective manner and minimised the capital investment required for the new equipment but maintained the required flexibility for the product mix.
